Collingwood

Hello there,
We have just had the most fantastic weekend away in one of my favourite places on Earth, Collingwood. At Collingwood there is the most awesome sandpit. See? It fits two children and two adults very comfortably.

Our children go wild at Collingwood. They are so excited to be there that they make faces like this.

And here is my shadow. But don't worry, I remembered to bring it home with me.

I also finished off my items for Twenty Cent's Deco Swap, but I can't show you those because then I'd spoil the surprise!

How was your weekend? If you leave a comment and tell me about it you might win a bonus Christmas Decoration, because I have one spare and I'm gonna give it to a blog-friend.

  2. Our weekend was super, especially so because the grandparents took the kids to the A&P show. This allowed Paul and I to have a leisurely lunch together and then, gulp, I hate to admit it, but we spent about 40 minutes in the $2 shop marvelling at what you can buy for $2!

  3. I had the most mix weekend, a friend looked after M so I got HEAPS done : ), all (almost) the unfinished sewing bits got done in record time, painting etc. but then she wouldnt answer her mobile nor her home phone and could not get hold of them at all, so went from bliss to nervous reck as i couldn get in touch until 530pm, what is way to late : ( and still fill a bit stressed about it. Of course everything was fine and M didnt even miss me, whats good, but but but... next time ill copy you and take him to the big sandpit better...

  4. Miss Smith my weekend was grand. I too have been beavering away at my decorations for the swap and even if I say so myself, they look fan-fraggling-tastic! (muppet and fraggle have become substitute swear words in our house since Mr F misheard my "f*#$ it" and repeated it as "muppet"! He will be quite confused if he ever sees a DVD of The Muppet Show).

  5. Delovery weekend here up here in the freezing cold Northeastern US! First snowflakes on Saturday while I was at work. Hubby scored new skis and boots for the boys at a ski re-sale.

Today...blessedly, at home all day, in bathrobe til 3pm, sewing my next Reusable Shopping Bag! Yay, and I am learning every time. Handles are a little further apart than I meant, but it's OK. Will show you soon.

Lovely post of your family enjoying a beach day! I adore the pic of your boy's joyous enthusiasm...

  8. What a fabulous sandpit! We missed you at the much smaller sandpit yesterday.H2 completly covered her face in black face paint and still looks very unwashed. I can't wait to see all of the decorations, there must be some very busy people crafting away. Where do you stay at Collingwood? Is is suitable for out busy ones? Better go as H2 is busy putting marks in each of the calendar squares, B is in the recycling and the washing machine is making a strange thumping noise. Hope to see you next Monday!

  9. Oooh, is it wrong for me to be jealous? I grew up in Rockville (my Dad has a drawing on the museum wall), and would have been going home next weekend except we moved to Auckland, making my flights from ChCh useless! I'm glad you missed the rain- it looks glourious! Enjoying your blog :)

  11. hey, these comments are coming in thick and fast. I'm a blog friend too even though I don't usually leave comments but I've been lured out into the open by the freebie giveaway: choose me. The week-end seems an awfully long time ago to remember anything but Sunday afternoon we took kids from here and there and filled up the car, down to the Taeri river, under the green bridge, for a swim. Boys very pleased with their robots. Louis pinned his on to a cap on a jaunty angle (I managed to find a small safety pin that wasn't a nappy pin) and was wearing it, albeit it looked a little top heavy up there. Bill thought it might get stolen and better to attatch it to his schoolbag.

  12. ummmm...have I already won my quota on Nz crafts because I won something from heartfelt the other day and I feel like if I win this too everyone will hate me and get mad at me. So don't draw my name. But, well do draw it. Well no don't. Well, anyway, I'll let fate decide.

  13. My weekend was busy. Not time for sandspits but I did see a sign to save the Ngunguru sandspit - something I have only ever seen from a distance.
